The eve of the New Year is upon us, and for me that means the start of Good Fortunes! The website is 100% ready for viewing (it has been for a while now, actually) so you can check it out here: [link] There's some sketches and art and information to look at until the launch - which will be at 12:01AM EST! I'm excited. New Year, new comic, new country.

Anyhow, most people will probably be partying it up with their families tonight, but the comic will still be there tomorrow, so check it out when you get the chance.

Soooo, it's been a good long while since I've updated anything here on DeviantArt, but with January fast approaching, all that is going to change. My web-comic is going to premiere, and all the artwork from the comic will finally be freed up for me to post. In the mean time I have actually been updating my website: [link] with new artwork, sketches, and web-comic features. So if you do want to see little glimpses of what I've been up to, check out the site.

Anyhoo, you're probably wondering why Japan is mentioned in the subject of this journal. Well, the answer to that is pretty simple: I'm moving to Japan! Come February, I'm going to be living and working in Japan for as an English teacher. Before anyone asks, no I didn't join the JET program - I've been hired by AEON Corporation, a very nice company that has more than 300 conversational English schools all over Japan.

I'm going to be working in a small town 30 minutes outside of Tokyo called Aobadai. Aobadai is actually part of Yokohama, but it's right on the border with Tokyo. Things are really exciting, but my main concern (aside from figuring out what I should pack) is making sure that I get lots of artwork ready before I leave, so that the comic doesn't lag behind TOO much!

Well, that's about it for now. I'll probably update again in a few weeks when the comic is getting ready to go live. Remember, Good Fortunes premieres on January 1, 2010!
